Halloween 09... trick or treat?

The last couple of years, the girls have been matching, and this year they decided on different costumes, but somehow they turned out to be quite coordinated. They loved their costumes. Avila is Taylor Swift (from the Love Story music video clip), we were watching it one day and we realized we already had this costume from an after-halloween sale years ago, that Alannah had and it worked perfectly. She was so excited!

Alannah's Cleopatra costume we got at Walmart for $12.99, I added the cape and the an extra layering of skirt to help keep her warm. It turned out to be quite warm this evening. But here they are in all their Halloween splendour!

Gosh, they just keep getting bigger and bigger! I don't want them to ever stop wanting to dress up. They're just so much fun! Can't wait till next year...

While I was away... little Miss Makayla arrived and she is absolutely PERFECT! I'm so excited, and I couldn't wait to share these first sneak previews!

Sweet little thing only 7 days old... they just don't stay this tiny for very long. What a blessing sent from Heaven. Congratulations Fara, you deserve all the joy a girl can bring.

Out of the office until October 30th....

Due to an unexpected illness in the family, I will be out of the office until October 30th, actually I will be on the East Coast. The whole Frankel clan is taking a last minute flight tomorrow to Richmond Virginia! This isn't the best time of the year for me to take a hiatus, but I guess that's why they call them emergencies, because they aren't planned. I will do my best to get everyone rescheduled at your earliest convenience. E-mail is the best way to reach me at info@alexandrafrankel.com.

On a side note, I must say that this shooting season is drawing to a close, all available sessions are booked, and the office will be closed during December for the holidays. The first available sessions for 2010 begin February 1st. I'll be on vacation July 12th-17th 2010, so those dates are out.

I wish to send a heartfelt thanks to my loyal clients who've trusted me again this year with their family portraits, and also a big thanks to all the wonderful new clients. It has been a truly busy year that FLEW by!

Also, I never even had a chance to post this month's parents magazine cover which I am so proud of, it has got to be one of my favorites! (I know I say that every month!!) But don't these two look AWESOME?!?!?

I still have TONS of pictures to share with you of some more amazing family photoshoots I'm dying to post. But I must get to packing.... So I'll see you when I get back!

Another awesome family session

I've been waiting since February to photograph this gorgeous family. That's how long we've had their session booking. I hope you guys like your pictures. I think they turned out pretty cute!

Fall Family sessions are raining down

Wow... the rain is really pouring down today... a perfect day for proofing inside. So I have me coffee cup and I'm proofing madly. Hopefully I will get through all my shoots today!

Here's another family who has been with me from the very beginning, this is my 4th year in business, and I've been able to journal the growth of my friends and their children. This amazingly talented lady takes care of my hair, she makes it look good and hides my grey! I can't be without her!!!

Its fun to watch the kids become more comfortable in front of the lens as the years go by, and they go by so fast. Little Miss Natalie you may recognize her since she's been featured on my blog several times, has grown into a gorgeous young girl. This year she brought some moves!!! Darling!!

When I started shooting Eli he barely cracked a smile... and look at him now, a full laugh? What a beautiful thing.

Look how much baby brother has grown! Last year's family portraits featured him as a newborn... now he is already sitting up and almost set to walk.

Family Session! Some of my favs!

I am finally catching up and getting to proof some of my recent family shoots, I am sure you will recognize these kiddos. They've been with me from the very beginning and I love watching the children grow and change, this year's portraits feature two missing teeth, a new haircut and we can't miss a new baby girl who was in mummy's tummy the last time I took their portraits.

The siblings absolutely adore her, and everyone clambered to get their photo taken with her. It was the sweetest thing! Wouldn't you? Look at those delicious thighs!!

I just love this one, the lighting is beautiful.

A long awaited maternity shoot!

One of my best friends is pregnant with a girl!!! We are so excited because she has 2 boys, and for the last 4 years since we've been friends she's had to endure watching all the fun girly things that me and the gals have gotten up to. I threw her the most GIRLY PINK baby shower I could think of, and we are anxiously awaiting her arrival. As pregnancies go, the more you have the faster they go by, I kept nagging her to get her maternity shoot done, and finally at 38 weeks I told her she could wait no more, otherwise we'll have to do a newborn shoot!!!

Isn't she the most gorgeous pregnant woman you've ever seen?? I just love these!!! Thanks Fara for letting me share these!
