Perfect Model... only 10 days old!

I've had an awesome run of newborn boys... where are the girls? Seems like everyone had boys this year! This little one blew me away at how cooperative he was... first he was awake and happy, then he was asleep and happy! I hope his attitude to being photographed grows with age, because I am so excited to get to photograph him 2 more times... so you will have to come back and watch him grow!




Max's parents and I were a total team! Dad shielded the sun, mom stood ready to catch a rolling babe if needed, and we all did clean up! LOL!



If he looks big... its because he is! He came out over 9lbs... and you can see his just perfect!


He is very lucky that his mommy is so talented, she painted these amazing pictures for his nursery... and he looks so good in it! Hehee...


And one for me... I *heart* a sleeping baby... swaddled up cozy.

Summertime heat here already??

WOW! Its been HOT! 100 degrees already? What the heck is going on? Thank goodness for AC...

I've been on a hunt for a chair forever... and found this one at a thrift store for $3.50!! What a great price! So I was out painting in the heat and was so excited to use it on my shoot this weekend. Look how great it looked with a new coat of paint... or maybe the little girl is what makes it look so cute??


These guys did SO great in the heat, aren't they sweet?

And this little muffin... what can I say?? I just wanted to dress her up in a 100 different outfits and photograph her all day! But it was way to hot to keep her out... I think these shots were darling...

So I'm relieved to say that my new cell phone battery has FINALLY arrived. So my phone will be up and running again. YAY!! Sorry if you have been trying to call and getting my voicemail. I have been checking and I think I got back to everyone.. but if not, e-mail me!

Sarah and Adam Happily Ever After....

Last month I had the pleasure to witness and photograph, a gorgeous wedding ceremony between two wonderful people, who were so in love and who had the most amazing group of friends. I believe you can really tell a person's true character by the friends they have, Sarah and Adam had so many wonderful friends who were kind and genuine, their wedding was so beautiful and so much fun!

The event was held at the Loomis Flower Inn, which I can't say enough about how beautiful the garden was and how wonderful the staff were. The gorgeous flowers were created by none other than the fabulous Martha Andrews.

The details:




Adam is a musician, he wrote Sarah a song, and the music was printed on the cones above that Martha filled with Hydrangeas and hung on each side of the aisle. It was the perfect sentimental touch.

Belated Mother's day... post

I hope you all had a fabulous Mother's day... I got to spend it with my darling girls... and they made my day by wearing these super cute bandana outfits I made them!

The last year of taking ballet has come out in her poses. It has been so wonderful to see her blossoming in her movements and her confidence. I'm not sure where this will lead, but she seems to have the passion and personality for the performing arts. As for me, I just can't get enough of her, she's a delight to watch!



The bandaids on Avila's arm were courtesy of her Kindergarten shots... she had 4 of them, she took it like a champ. Only cried on the last one! So I took her to Old Navy and she picked out a new swimsuit! Hehe... She's now 33lbs and 41-3/4" tall, doctor says if she continues on her growth chart she'll be 5'2"... she looks at me and says "Hey! She'll be taller than both of us!" She's 5'1" and I'm 5 LOL! Too funny!

Ahhh.... only 9 days old, he is the youngest baby I've had the pleasure the photograph... and baby Lorenzo was already supermodel! He did so good on his first photoshoot, he only cried a little bit as we moved him all over the place...

Isn't he precious? Unfortunately he woke up when we removed him from his seat, and he did not like that one bit, but new mom and dad were great at soothing him back to sleep. And when he did, I was able to snap away and gets some GREAT pics:



He made us all laugh, because he had a perpetual frown, but I thought it was just adorable...



I am in love with baby lips... look at that smooch!!!

And a change of outfit... he looks so good in black!



Okay seriously. I think I'm going to have to order this one in a canvas myself! So cute I can't contain myself!

So many to choose from... I had to post this one to remind us he is a Spring baby! What a wonderful time to be born.. to a field of flowers.

Sunshine after the rain...

It has been raining around here for quite a while... and although its not so great for high energy kiddos, it sure has turned everything LUSH outside. Driving around I'm just amazed at how green everything is and how the wildflowers have just blossomed out of nowhere! We just had to stop and take a couple of snaps, here is one very happy girl to see the sunshine...

This rain has produced the most gorgeous outdoor settings I have seen around here for many years, it definitely is the perfect time for shooting, before you know it will be searing hot and all these amazing flowers will be gone.

Grandma's Flowers

I have never seen a more beautiful garden, and two gorgeous gals. I was very lucky to photograph these girls in their grandma's amazing garden, where you can see its a perfect backdrop that you can barely tell its real. Spring is in full bloom, and these girls matched it perfectly!

This young lady is about to hit the double digits! Wow... just stunning!




Doesn't she have the most amazing eyes? I sure am so lucky to get to photograph such a beautiful girl, both inside and out.



Aaahh sisters. They just make my heart melt... every girl should have a sister, because you know you can always count on your sister to have your back. Look how sweet they are together...

OK... my first Broadway show practically killed me... the other seasoned moms had to calm me down when the director decided to change hairstyles an hour before show starts... aaahhhh that nearly did me in! All the hairspray, marshmallows, and bobbypins was more than I could take... and as my daughter walked out on stage and danced her heart out, my eyes just filled with tears. But now back to business... so much to catch up on... I know you're all waiting to see pics from the wedding this month. Soon... I promise!
