All in the family

I had the pleasure of photographing this family, who drove ALL the WAY from Santa Cruz for their session! And this gorgeous gal flew in from out of state! So I only had one opportunity to capture this gorgeous family. I hope you love your pics... here a few of my favorites for your sneak preview:

Thanks for an awesome session, it was a blast!

Number #5.... the caboose

When my friend Rachelle told me she was pregnant, and that this was going to be her last time. And because she had never had her maternity portraits any of the other 4 times she was pregnant, I wasn't going to take no for an answer. Plus I had my friend Fara gang up on her, plus we had the support of her hubby... I'm so glad she finally caved... LOL!

Isn't she the CUTEST? She just exudes that maternity glow, and proves that cute maternity pics doesn't have to mean a bare tummy. Thanks for a SUPER fun session. Click on images to see full view:

Can you even believe she's already had four? She looks so amazing!

I had to post this one in color as well as the B&W, I couldn't decide which one I like more!

Rachelle, you are an AMAZING person, you're kind, and thoughtful. You always have a ready ear to hear my troubles, you've been an inspiration and a great friend and helped me so much with my business. I truly hope that you love these pictures and I am bursting with anticipation of photographing your new bundle of joy!!

Billy and Julie.......Happily Ever After...

My friend and partner in crime Fara and I shot Billy and Julie's amazing wedding! It was a balmy July evening, and when we arrived on the scene we were blown away and felt like we had been transported to some exotic place.

Julie's intricate planning and impeccable style transformed her family's backyard into a beautiful scene fit for a princess! Words are boring... here are the pictures, and I had so many I could hardly choose... so there is plenty eye candy below... don't forget to click on the images to see a clearer view:

Happy 4th July

We spent a nice leisurely day yesterday, BBQ'ing burgers, and goofing around the house. Its been ages since I have taken candids of the girls, and so here are some I snapped yesterday of my favorite kiddos:

Later in the evening, after we ate more than we should, we went downtown for the fireworks display , we got there just before dusk, and the lighting was beautiful, we met up with Rachel and Anne, they looked so adorable, I had to take their picture:

Avila has always had the bad habit of biting her finger nails, and the sides of her fingers, and she gets reprimanded every time, lately I've been telling her that her fingers are going to fall off... but it doesn't seem phase her, and this is the look she had when she got caught biting again!

And any opportunity I get, I try to snap one of them together, cause its rare that they want to share the frame.. LOL!

And these next THREE pics below were taken by Avila... I deliberated about posting these, cause she's making it look too easy to take a good picture... when a four-year old can do it... why am I in business??? LOL! But I am so proud of her... I had to share... and look she even used the rule of 1/3 and yes, I did the settings for her but the composition and focus is all her!

When we finally pried the camera from Avila's little hands, Alannah took this one. Well, if I get in a bind and can't make it to a shoot, I can send out my girls! Its kinda nice now I get to be in the pictures too! LOL!

This is the first year we've really taken the girls to watch the fireworks because Alannah had been afraid and then Avila was too young, but this year we figured they're all good. The night was cool, which is shocking for this time of year, so it was really lovely to sit in the park under the night sky. I've forgotten what a thrill it is to be amidst the crowd and watch as they go off with such a loud boom. Little Coco, our dog was absolutely TERRIFIED! But she couldn't keep her eyes off the display and neither could the kids, they both enjoyed it immensely, and Alannah was still a little scared! Hhahaa..

It was quite an impressive show, for such a smalltown! Being from Sydney we are really spoilt when it comes to amazing fireworks shows, nothing compares to the NYE show on the Sydney Harbor Bridge. But this one went for a good 30 minutes, and we thought it was the grand finale 3 times! Fun! Hope you all had fun too wherever you spent the 4th. Hugs!

Royce and Dana Happily Ever After...

I love shooting weddings, I love how much of an expression of a bride and groom's personality is shown through all the little details from the hair, to the table arrangements. I also love the union between two people in love. I'm a sucker for the romantics I guess.

Here is another wedding that Blooms commissioned me to photograph. But this time I got to hang out a little longer and get more pictures, thank you GINA for allowing me to photograph by your side! Click to see images:

My Cover Girl!

Since I have been shooting for the magazine, both the girls have been wondering if they will ever be featured on the front... and look who's on JULY!

Avila was thrilled to pose for the magazine's artsy issue. She was such a trooper, it was hot, and she was tired, here are some additional favs from the shoot, my little Picasso:

The Oates....

I love this pic! Doesn't it just say "Mamma knows best?"

Fuschia colored gerber daisies have got to be one of my favorite flowers, and this is definitely jumped to the top of my 'favorite pic' list! Omigosh, how perfect is she??

Look at that laugh! Infectious isn't it??

Oh boy!! Can anyone say Heartbreaker??? This look stole my heart!
